1、 concrete pavement

Advantage:

(1) High strength.

(2) Good stability.

(3) Good durability.

(4) Low maintenance cost.

(5) Good skid resistance.

(6) It is conducive to driving at night.

Disadvantages:

(1) The demand for cement and water is large. Building a 20cm thick and 7m wide cement concrete pavement requires 400 ~ 500 tons of cement and about 250 tons of water per kilometer.

(2) There are many joints.

(3) Late opening of traffic

(4) It is difficult to maintain and repair.

2、 Asphalt pavement

Advantage:

Flat surface, no joint, comfortable driving, low vibration, low noise, wear resistance, no dust, easy cleaning, short construction period, simple maintenance, renewable utilization, suitable for phased construction, etc.

Disadvantages:

The temperature stability of asphalt material is poor, it is easy to crack in winter and soften in summer; The compacted mixture has large voidage, poor water resistance and easy to produce water and damage; Asphalt is a polymer material with poor aging resistance and difficult to ensure durability; The poor retention of flatness not only deteriorates the flatness due to settlement, but also softens the material and is easy to form rutting.
