If there is no good precautionary measure, the collapse of the cement silo is easy to occur in the windy weather. The impact of strong wind weather on cement silos:

1.In the case that the horizontal cement silo material is full, in the high wind or strong wind weather, the cement silo's own weight plus the wind force, the pressure of the bottom pillar of the cement silo will increase exponentially, thereby causing damage to the bracket and other supporting structures.

2.The lateral force of the wind is a great test for the foundation of the cement powder silo. If the foundation of the powder silo is not strong enough, there is a high risk that the cement silos will collapse.

What are the precautions for cement silos in high winds and strong winds?

1.In areas with frequent winds, foundation pile caps are often added to the cement silos, and double-layer steel mesh is added. The foundation thickness of 2m or more can effectively prevent the damage of the strong wind to the foundation.

2.Increase the number of cement tank legs and add 4 legs adjacent to each cement tank leg. The 16# I-beam is selected, and the lower part is fixed in the base concrete and buried deep below 2 meters. The upper part is to be welded to the cement tank. Each leg is to be reinforced with 16# channel steel connection.

3.It can be controlled by using several 16mm diameter steel wire ropes around the cement tank to fix the cement tank. When fixing the cement tank, the angle between the wind rope and the silo body is within the range of 45 to 60°.
